When I first started teaching and was overwhelmed by the demands and complexity of the job, my survival strategy was simply to take all the advice that came my way and implement it.

 

Calling a parent with a positive is much easier and a much better way to build relationships so don’t wait until you NEED to call, make it a priority to make positive contacts with parents. Oh, those highschool and middle year students, they benefit too! Be proactive, positive and promote the learning in your classroom.
